What is expected of you?

  • Support users with Hardware and Software problems
  • Support backup and maintenance operations by performing administrative activities as directed by the IT department
  • Maintain an inventory of IT hardware and communication resources

  • Actively promote technology throughout the organisation and give training for internal users' applications and tools
  • Responsible for all aspects of IT onboarding and offboarding, including Active Directory configuration, application access control, email, and computer profiles.
  • Ensure that security tools placed on computer systems are set and kept up to date in accordance with IT standards
  • Responsible for testing, installation, configuration, and ongoing maintenance of new and existing computers, printers, technology devices and applications
  • Maintaining and configuring the call center, control room, and office telephone systems, as well as ensuring that communication tools are available and configured effectively
  • Upgrade existing computer systems by identifying, recommending, and implementing updates
  • Collaborate with and escalate issues to partners and suppliers as required
  • Assisting the project and telematics teams in meeting departmental objectives
  • Provide knowledge transfer to other team members – this could take the form of on-the-job assistance
  • Ensuring that all department personnel are trained and informed about the technologies and procedures of the department

 

What are you expected to bring?

  • Bachelors’ Degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Microsoft Certifications will be considered an asset
  • Two years’ working experience in IT Technical Support on Windows Operating Systems including client/ Server applications
  • Experience working with SharePoint and other Office 365 products
  • Basic knowledge of networking, e.g. TCP/IP, WAN/LAN
  • Knowledge of SQL Server
  • Ability to manage and prioritise workloads effectively
  • Strong problem-solving and communication skills
  • Good administrative skills and attention to detail
  • The ability to work with minimal supervision and as part of a team
