What is expected of you?

  • Maintain and adhere to the cash restrictions law, as well as proper supervision and compliance
  • Retrieve, analyse, transform, and report data
  • Draft policies, processes, and procedures
  • Liaise, coordinate, and collaborate with a variety of stakeholders as well as competent authorities
  • Assist and liaise with the enforcement of both administrative and criminal aspects of the law
  • Support the company in ad hoc projects
  • Prepare and provide training on cash restrictions matters during seminars and events
  • Conduct committee meetings to review aspects of the law
  • Collect and maintain comprehensive statistical data required for maintenance, as well as analyse the data collected on a regular basis.
  • Plan the operations and goals of the team to meet the section’s priorities, targets, and deliverables
  • Coordinate available resources and officers to maximize the section’s efficiency
  • Ensure that officers on the team have received adequate training to carry out their duties and reach targets
  • Monitor, follow up on, and review the work of officers in the section to identify areas for improvement and to ensure satisfactory quality
  • Carry out performance appraisals and one-on-one meetings as needed
  • Represent the company at international meetings, workshops, and court sittings
  • Evaluate, review, and assess the team's operations and report on them as needed
  • Work on other duties assigned by the Director and Deputy Director

 

What are you expected to bring?

  • A degree in Law, Accountancy, Forensic Accountancy, Audit, or Finance
  • A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a financial services
  • Fluency in both Maltese and English language
  • Great understanding of the relevant EU Directives and domestic legislation governing financial and ancillary services
  • Able to multi-task and problem-solve
  • Excellent written and verbal communications skills
  • Excellent analytical and report writing skills
