Senior Executive I - Quantity Surveyor

What is expected of you?
  • Prepares detailed feasibility studies and proposals aligned with Unit guidelines, ensuring accurate costing and presenting them to senior management for review and approval
  • Supports the evaluation of tenders by reviewing cost and technical aspects to assess their validity and suitability for project requirements
  • Collaborates with fellow Quantity Surveyors and contractors to understand costing strategies, tailor project solutions, and ensure value for money within budget limits
  • Identifies and evaluates cost-related risks early in the project and recommends appropriate contingency measures
  • Maintains precise and up-to-date project documentation, including cost plans, analyses, specifications, spreadsheets, and drawings
  • Maintains in-depth knowledge of assigned projects, including contracts, scope of works, and technical details
  • Keeps abreast of industry trends, construction practices, and technical standards to apply best practices to projects
  • Participates in project meetings, communicates progress, raises concerns, and monitors priorities against set targets
  • Values completed work, processes progress payments, and identifies contract variances with recommendations for management
  • Adheres to internal standards and quality systems, contributing suggestions for procedural improvement and refinement
  • Coordinates with internal teams, attends briefings, prepares reports, and stays updated on legislative and organizational developments that may impact INDIS Malta's operations
  • Direct supervision and guidance from Chief Officer– Technical Office and/or designated person as necessary
 
What are you expected to bring?
  • Candidates should have a strong background in Construction, Land Surveying, Quantity Surveying, or another related and relevant field
  • An academic qualification at National Qualification Framework (NQF) Level 5 or higher in a relevant discipline is required, certified by the Malta Qualifications Recognition Information Centre (MQRIC), or an equivalent recognized professional qualification
  • Applicants must have a minimum of three (3) years of experience working in an office environment within an industrial setting
  • A valid driving licence is required for this role
  • Candidates without formal qualifications may still be considered if they have at least ten (10) years of relevant experience in a similar position
