Senior Corporate Lawyer

Are you looking for your next career opportunity?  If you have extensive experience in corporate law and have experience in negotiating, drafting and closing complex commercial transactions, we are seeking to recruit a Senior Corporate Lawyer.  You will have the opportunity to work with both a legal and financial services team, within a established law firm, with exposure to clients in different industries and jurisdictions.


What is expected of you?

  • Contribute legal advice and legal opinions
  • Work on drafting, revising, negotiating and concluding agreements
  • Prepare corporate documents and pledge agreements
  • Assist the Compliance Officer / MLRO in day-to-day regulatory activities
  • Handle and assist in all corporate ventures
  • Liaise directly with both national and international governmental authorities as required
  • Oversee the legality of business practice
  • Assist with reporting requirements to local and overseas regulatory authorities
  • Manage the licensing and de-licensing processes of legal entities
  • Undertake any ad hoc compliance and legal projects
  • Draft and prepare of articles, publications and presentations
  • Provide training both in-house and to third parties in related sectors


What are you expected to bring?

  • A university degree in law (LL.B / LL.D), a Master’s degree (LL.M) will be considered an asset
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English
  • A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the same field
  • Experience in Senior/Management positions or in Client portfolios will be considered as an asset
  • Proficiency in MS Office and other major software applications
  • Experience in negotiating, drafting and closing complex commercial transactions
  • Strong time management and organisational skills
  • Ability to prioritise tasks and work to deadlines
  • Attention to detail and high level of accuracy
