Senior Client Accountant

Are you an analytical accounting professional looking for the next step to elevate your career? A leading accounting firm is seeking a proactive individual to join their team as a Senior Client Accountant. This role offers a clear pathway to becoming a Head of Accounts.

What is expected of you?

• Manage and prepare client accounts, including management accounts, for various clients
• Prepare and submit VAT and tax returns as well as payroll reports
• Adhere to internal controls and procedures
• Create invoices and set up payment instructions as needed
• Liaise with external auditors
• Support the Head of Accounts
• Performing additional tasks as directed by management

What are you expected to bring?

• 3-5 years of accounting experience
• Qualified Accountant or nearing completion of ACCA or an equivalent accounting qualification
• Strong knowledge and experience with Malta VAT and Tax Law
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel
• Excellent organizational skills, both personal and professional
• Effective team player with strong communication skills for interacting with clients and colleagues at all levels
• Have the ability to work in a fast-paced environment with tight deadlines
• Self-motivated with a structured and determined work approach
• Fluency in English is a must
