Are you an organized and motivated individual? Do you want to join a dynamic team where you can develop and enhance your skills? Our client, a well-known company within the financial services industry, is looking for a Senior Accountant to join their growing team.

 

What is expected of you?

  • Prepare accurate and error-free financial reports
  • Maintain the general ledger and perform thorough account reconciliations
  • Analyze financial reports to identify and correct inaccurate entries
  • Manage the organization’s accounting activities and compare results with budgets
  • Assist the CFO with financial statement audits and other statutory reporting requirements
  • Provide support to the CFO in overseeing and managing the accounting department
  • Manage, guide, and train junior members of the accounting team
  • Ensure adequate resources are available to complete regular activities on time, covering for junior members if necessary
  • Assist the CFO in planning the financial year and allocating responsibilities within the team
  • Oversee the submission of deliverables within established deadlines
  • Contribute to the development and maintenance of accounting procedures, including implementing new ones
  • Perform regular accounting of cash flows in and out of the company and provide reasoned recommendations to the CFO
  • Contribute to the creation of financial forecasts and assist in coordinating accounting related projects with other departments and clients
  • Assist the CFO in presenting financial reports to management and various stakeholders
  • Develop, implement, and maintain effective internal controls
  • Undertake additional tasks and responsibilities as requested by the CFO

 

What are you expected to bring?

  • Over three years of relevant experience
  • Degree in Accountancy or equivalent (ACCA, ACA)
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications
  • Experienced in preparing standalone and consolidated financial statements under IFRS
  • Familiar with conducting statutory audits
  • Skilled in training and managing junior team members
  • Effective in personal and managerial time management
  • Adaptable to changing priorities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong problem-solving and critical thinking abilities
