What's expected of you?

Provide strategic leadership and direction for the project management department.
Establish and implement best practices to ensure successful project delivery
Mentor project managers and develop comprehensive plans with risk mitigation strategies
Manage departmental budgets, track expenditures, and implement cost-control measures to optimize spending and profitability
Analyze financial data to improve efficiency, maximize profit margins, and identify project variation opportunities
Prepare financial reports, maintain accurate records, and ensure compliance with company policies and regulations
Allocate and optimize resources to support project priorities and organizational needs
Ensure proper staffing levels, skill development, and cross-department collaboration
Act as the main stakeholder liaison, managing communication, expectations, and conflict resolution
Ensure compliance with company policies, contractual obligations, and regulatory standards
Promote a strong focus on health, safety, and quality within the department

What are you expected to bring?

Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Project Management, Fire Safety Security Management, or a related field, with exposure to project management, OR a recognized project management certification (preferred)
Minimum of 3-4 years of experience in a project management role with a proven track record of successful project delivery
Strong understanding of project execution, budgeting, and stakeholder coordination
Valid Maltese driving license required
