What’s expected of you?
  • Act as the APQP implementer and driver, ensuring adherence to advanced quality planning processes.
  • Develop and update Process FMEAs, focusing on prevention strategies and integrating risk management into job planning.
  • Create risk mitigation plans based on RPN analysis and implement process improvements to lower risk levels within quality systems.
  • Design and enhance quality systems, establish quality gates to minimize process waste, and protect the end customer.
  • Promote and improve lean manufacturing principles on the shop floor, aiming for "right-first-time" practices and achieving Build in Quality Level 4 standards.
  • Support projects to meet BIQ cost and savings objectives, striving for a 6-sigma quality level where feasible.
  • Address external customer complaints, effectively communicating resolutions outside the factory, and lead QRQC to identify and eliminate root causes of dissatisfaction.
  • Motivate and lead subordinates in alignment with business strategies, providing coaching and guidance as necessary.
  • Collaborate with the Quality Manager on investigations and follow up on unresolved process quality issues.
  • Work with all sections of the Currency division to compile and reduce Cost of Poor Quality (CoPQ), driving zero-defect goals through problem-solving sessions.
 
What are you expected to bring?
  • Engineering degree with a background in lean manufacturing; a 6-Sigma Green Belt certification is considered an asset.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities combined with a continuous improvement mindset and a commitment to excellence.
  • Proven track record of successfully leading and engaging teams with excellent interpersonal and people management skills.
  • Results-driven, adaptable, and effective as a change agent, with a history of achieving impactful outcomes.
  • Minimum of 3 years of experience in a similar role, demonstrating expertise in driving operational improvements.
