We seek a Plant Technician to join the vibrant team of a premier hospitality firm in Malta. The perfect candidate should possess a solid grasp of technical operations, especially in plant engineering. What's expected of you?

Ensure property systems run efficiently, including HVAC, water, boilers, chillers, VRFs, and pool filtration, while overseeing the plant room
Maintain accurate operational records and stay updated on hospitality trends
Improve department profitability by minimizing wastage, optimizing resources, and monitoring the PPM system
Service refrigeration and air conditioning systems, conduct inspections, and file reports as needed
Maintain professionalism, facilitate communication, and promptly inform the Maintenance Manager of issues
Attend training sessions, collaborate with other departments, and provide support during maintenance shifts
Adhere to safety protocols, wear provided protective gear, and report any defects in the building, plant, or equipment promptly
Participate in fire, health, and safety training and follow related procedures, including fire evacuation protocols

What are you expected to bring?

Possession of an Electrical/Mechanical engineering diploma or equivalent qualification; a Wireman’s license is advantageous
Prior experience in a comparable role, preferably within hotel or commercial settings featuring HVAC, VRF’s, boilers, chillers, and pool filtration systems
Fluent in English
Ability to manage stressful situations and projects effectively
Strong communication and presentation skills when liaising with the Maintenance team and colleagues
Proficiency in utilizing computers and applications
Aptitude for resolving problems efficiently and display professionalism and proficiency
Comprehensive understanding of engineering, mechanical, and other technical concepts.
Flexibility in approach and execution of duties
