Payroll Coordinator

What's expected of you?

  • Compile, input, and manage payroll per client requirements
  • Prepare and submit VAT and tax returns, including corresponding P&L accounts and provisional tax computations
  • Maintain and update employee records, including salary changes, tax status, engagement/termination dates, and statutory details
  • Address employee concerns, ensuring timely resolution and appropriate action
  • Generate statistical reports for management and clients as required
  • Identify and report irregularities while ensuring compliance with SLAs and deadlines
  • Assist with ad-hoc duties, including back-office tasks related to airline revenue accounting
  • Support internal and external audits, ensuring timely issue resolution
  • Collaborate with the Back Office Senior Coordinator to implement new systems and improve efficiency


What are you expected to bring?

  • 1-2 years in payroll (Indigo experience is a plus
  • A strong command of both spoken and written English is required, with Maltese preferred
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, payroll systems, and database software
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and multitasking skills
  • Good understanding of Maltese payroll legislation
  • Basic knowledge and awareness of information security
