What's expected of you?

  • Deploying, configuring, and maintaining both hardware and software components integral to the network infrastructure.
  • Implementing robust security measures to safeguard the network against unauthorized access, data breaches, and cyber-attacks, along with establishing backup and recovery strategies for seamless continuity in case of network failures.
  • Ensuring optimal network performance by maintaining target speeds, reliability, and latency levels, while proactively monitoring network traffic and promptly addressing any arising issues.
  • Keeping the network up-to-date through strategic planning and execution of upgrades tailored to organizational needs, and incorporating new technologies as necessary to enhance network capabilities.
  • Managing the organization’s network infrastructure, including oversight of routers, switches, and firewalls to ensure reliability and secure connectivity.
  • Configuring, monitoring, and maintaining servers to ensure efficient operation aligned with organizational requirements.
  • Managing operating systems and software applications, encompassing installations, updates, and troubleshooting for all systems.
  • Assessing the organization's current and future IT needs, devising plans for upgrades and expansions, and procuring necessary hardware, software, and other IT resources to fulfill these requirements.

What are you expected to bring?

  • Possession of a Higher National Diploma in Computer Systems/Networking (Level 5 or equivalent).
  • Candidates with CCNA or any other relevant Networking certification will receive favorable consideration.
  • A minimum of 1-2 years of hands-on experience in networking, routing, switching, and problem troubleshooting.
  • Excellent knowledge of best practices concerning the management, control, and monitoring of server infrastructure.
  • Experience in firewalls, Internet VPNs remote implementation, troubleshooting, and problem resolution.
  • Good understanding of routing protocols.
  • Proficiency in Hyper-V, VMware virtualization, administration, and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with backup and recovery software and methodologies.
  • Role mapping expertise.
