Logistic Assistant Manager

We are seeking a Logistic Assistant Manager to join the team of a well-known retail company in Malta. In this role, you will be responsible for ensuring the optimal condition of plant, vehicles, and equipment. What is expected of you?

  • Manage the maintenance of electrical, mechanical, and refrigeration systems in the warehouse
  • Coordinate preventive maintenance and address ad-hoc repairs
  • Ensure the continuous functionality of emergency and fire systems
  • Oversee the warehouse health and safety, in line with corporate policies and local regulations
  • Coordinate with contractors and external suppliers for regular and extraordinary maintenance tasks
  • Maintain cleanliness and upkeep of the warehouse, including the returns area and recycling initiatives
  • Ensure an adequate supply of essential replacement parts for technical equipment
  • Establish and maintain an efficient team, and fostering a positive work environment

 

What are you expected to bring?

  • A technical background
  • Previous work experience in building and/or mechanical facility management
  • A proven ability to manage and negotiate with external suppliers
  • Good command of English, knowledge of Italian is a plus
  • Proficiency in the MS Office package.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
  • Flexibility and dynamism.
