Junior Risk Associate

What is expected of you?

• Assist the Senior Associates and Associates in planning and executing compliance examinations in line with internal procedures as well as in analysing results of compliance examinations and prepare compliance examination reports on a timely basis to clearly document such results
• Coordinate and contribute in discussions on the results of compliance examinations
• Liaise, coordinate, and cooperate with various authorities as may be required from time to time
• Contribute to advising and assisting subject persons to establish appropriate AML and CFT internal structures and controls
• Assist the Risk Team in the carrying out risk assessments, execute risk verification procedures and provision of feedback on the outcome of compliance examinations and following-up on the subsequent results
• Participate in training provided 
• Assist in other tasks related to evaluations and assessments being undertaken by various local and international bodies
• Represent the company in proceedings, including as witness, before any court, tribunal or other adjudicating body
• Carry out any other job-related duties as may be assigned by the Director, Deputy Director, Head, Senior Manager and Manager

What are you expected to bring?

• A degree in Risk Management, Banking and Finance, Financial Services, Auditor or an equivalent qualification
• Sound knowledge and practical understanding of the laws that govern the prevention of money laundering and financing of terrorism in Malta and the applicable international standards and EU legislation
• Knowledge and experience in risk assessment, data analysis, report writing, review and audit engagements will be considered an asset
• Excellent communication skills in English both written and verbal
• Proficient in Microsoft Office and office automation tools
• A clean criminal record
