Junior Accountant

What is expected of you?

• General duties such as payroll, accounts management, business plans, financial statements, budgets and tax returns
• Analyse risk and inspect the organisation's current practices
• Investigate any financial irregularities and recommend improvements
• Manage expenditure, credit and, investments
• Ensure that timely reporting of accounting is accurately done monthly, quarterly and yearly
• Manage government subsidy applications and bank relations
• Ensure compliance with all company policies and regulations
• Other duties that may be required by the senior management

What are you expected to bring?

• ACCA qualification or equivalent, or in the process of becoming an accountant
• Excellent communication skills
• Must be in Malta and have a strong knowledge of the Maltese employment law
• At least 3 years' experience in a similar role
• Confident in payroll management
• Ability to work under pressure and on tight deadlines
• The capability to define, structure and prioritise workload for themselves and others, with the flexibility and capability to change when required
• Good attention to detail and well-organised
