IT Operations Manager

What's expected of you?

• Supervise the planning, execution, and upkeep of IT infrastructure, covering servers, networks, hardware, and software systems
• Lead the maintenance team, provide guidance, mentoring, support and oversee both corrective and preventive measures for continuous IT system availability
• Coordinate IT support services, ensuring prompt resolution of technical issues reported by users
• Collaborate with external vendors, negotiating contracts, and overseeing relationships for the procurement of necessary hardware, software, and services
• Develop and execute strategies to enhance IT operations efficiency, streamline processes, and optimize system performance
• Implement robust security measures, conduct regular audits, and stay informed about the latest security threats and solutions to uphold IT system security and integrity
• Manage the assigned IT budget efficiently, monitoring expenditure to balance cost-effectiveness with operational needs
• Develop and maintain comprehensive disaster recovery plans and procedures to safeguard data and minimize downtime during emergencies or system failures
• Ensure compliance with relevant regulations, industry standards, and best practices in IT operations, staying updated with evolving regulatory requirements

What are you expected to bring?

• A Bachelor`s degree in Computer Science, information technology or related field
• Relevant certifications in ITIL, PMP would be considered an asset
• Industry-standard certifications like CompTIA Network+, Security+, or equivalent
• A minimum of 2 years’ proven work experience in a similar role
• Expertise in system installation, configuration, and analysis
• Proficiency in IT infrastructure, networking, security, and cloud technologies
• Aa strong understanding of compliance, regulations, and best practices in IT
• Demonstrate excellent communication, leadership, and decision-making skills
• Ability to interact effectively with team members, senior management, and other stakeholders
• Skilled at solving challenging problems and coming up with creative solutions
