We are seeking to recruit a Head of Banking to become part of a successful firm operating within Malta’s financial sector. If you are keen to lead a department and are looking to develop your career into a successful one, we at Ceek would like to hear from you!

What is expected of you?

Guide & mentor the team members, allocate tasks, and set KPIs
Manage the recruitment, training, performance appraisal, as well as employee retention
Implement the company's AML/CFT strategy, enabling training across the teams to connect any gaps in knowledge
Carry out supervision to ensure compliance with the local and international regulations
Lead the day to day tasks of the teams running both the on-site section and the supervision section
Keep up to date with the regulatory requirements in relation to the financial and credit institutions
Set a vision for the department and develop supervisory techniques for the team
Raise the standards within the company by instilling a compliance culture within the department
Liaise with third parties for the respective functions of the company
Represent the company in groups or committees as required
Ad-hoc duties as may be required by the higher management

What are you expected to bring?

A degree in Banking or Finance, Law, Accountancy, Economics, or any related subjects
A post-graduate degree in a related area is an asset
At least 8 years' working experience in a similar role
Proven leadership and management skills
Exceptional communication, reporting, and analytical skills
A keen eye for detail, and can work under pressure
