Head of Audit and Assurance

What is expected of you?

• Develop, implement, and maintain an annual master audit planner
• Strategize audits and reviews, and approve audit reports
• Handle client expectations and gather client feedback
• Recognize resource needs and distribute resources accordingly
• Identify, prioritize, and emphasize pertinent risk areas when formulating an audit plan
• Thoroughly review audit files
• Prioritize diverse deadlines and oversee client briefs effectively
• Come up with different testing

What are you expected to bring?

• Hold a valid Auditor's warrant issued by the Malta Accountancy Board
• A minimum of 5 years of previous experience as an auditor
• At least 3 years’ experience in a Senior position, leading a finance team
• Demonstrate proficiency in relevant audit ISAs and a confident application of them
• Oversee the team’s performance, and identify the strengths and weaknesses of each team member
• Strong interpersonal and leadership skills
• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities
• Be IT savvy
