Handyman

What is expected of you?

• Liaison with both Housekeeping and Front Office on scheduled maintenance work
• Written and verbal communication in Maltese or English is required
• Checks in-house activities on a daily basis
• Controls diesel fuel, gas, and other supplies required for the hotel's smooth and ongoing functioning on a regular basis
• Ensures that maintenance tasks are completed efficiently, effectively, and in a timely manner
• Make sure that Pool water quality is kept according to Government regulations
• Performs maintenance activities in guest rooms and hotel public areas like plunging toilets, unclogging drains, paint etc
• Assists technician in daily running of hotel
• Check for new maintenance requests from the PMS (Property Management System)
• Performs other duties assigned by supervisor
• Attends to guest comforts and requests courteously and efficiently
• Accepts flexible work schedule necessary for uninterrupted service to hotel guest and the hotel’s management
• Maintains own working area, material and company property clean, tidy and in good condition
• Continuously seeks to endeavor and improve the efficient operation of the department, and knowledge of own job function
• Is well updated on hotel fire and emergency procedures, health and safety policies and procedure

What are you expected to bring?

• High school diploma or equivalent qualification required
• A minimum of 2 years’ working experience in a similar role
• Solid experience with plumbing and electrical systems
• Ability to work with hardware tools and power equipment
• Extremely organized with good communication skills
• Detail-orientated with an aptitude for problem-solving
