Finance Manager

In this role, you'll be a key player in the financial team, developing budgets and managing the accounting team. What's expected of you?

  • Stay informed and up to date with all hotel and Corinthia Group policies, ensuring adherence to standard practices
  • Assist in maintaining internal control systems to safeguard hotel assets and revenue effectively
  • Maintain and manage all accounting records in line with Corporate Office requirements
  • Ensure compliance with local laws and fiscal regulations affecting the hotel’s financial matters
  • Safeguard, update, and manage all leases, contracts, and legal documents impacting the hotel's financial status
  • Reconcile bank statements by the end of each month
  • Perform monthly intercompany reconciliations accurately and on time
  • Review all finance journals prior to their upload
  • Maintain and update the contract registry consistently
  • Oversee the month-end close process, including preparation of management accounts, supervising team members, and assisting with their queries
  • Ensure timely closure of financial books and prepare all required financial data accurately
  • Handle local tax matters, including income tax and VAT, and prepare quarterly VAT returns
  • Assist the Director of Finance with departmental tasks and arising issues as needed

 

What are you expected to bring?

  • A degree in hotel management or accounting
  • A minimum of three years of experience, ideally in a hotel environment
  • Strong verbal and written English communication skills
  • Proficiency in computer literacy
  • Results-oriented, enthusiastic, and equipped with strong analytical and interpersonal skills
  • Proven ability to maintain consistent standards, manage priorities, and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment
  • A fair leadership style with clear and concise communication skills
