Data Quality Specialist

What is expected of you?

• Manage the stored data, ensuring comprehensive oversight of data processing, policies, guidelines, and adherence to both policy and regulatory requirements.
• Establish and execute policies and procedures governing the daily operations, administration, and management of systems and data.
• Establish metrics and requirements for data quality, defining acceptable values, ranges, and parameters for each data element
• Create guidelines and protocols for data proliferation to ensure enforcement of privacy controls in all processes
• Lead and manage master data management and/or data governance projects throughout all phases of the project lifecycle
• Identify anomalies and discrepancies, providing expertise to understand the problem  and implement corrective measures
• Create, oversee, update, and manage the Data Catalogue, information asset inventory, and related processes
• Gain data requirements by collaborating with various stakeholders
• Ensure Data Owners are performing their roles correctly and effectively

What are you expected to bring?

• A Degree in Information Systems/Technology, Computer Science or Engineering disciplines or a related field
• Prior experience in master data management, data governance, and/or data quality
• Ability to understand technically complex data architectures
• Experience with data management/governance technologies, such as Collibra, Informatica, Ataccama etc, working knowledge of cloud-based data platforms (e.g., Snowflake, Azure) is an asset
• Previous experience in a regulated industry such as Banking, Capital Markets, Gaming, or Insurance
• Ability to develop strategic initiatives
• Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, coupled with excellent presentation skills
• Leadership skills and the ability to interact with various stakeholders and senior Management
