Cost Controller

Are you a dynamic individual on the lookout for a new challenge? If so, we are looking for a Cost Controller to join the team of a renowned company in the transportation sector. The chosen individual will be part of the Engineering Department.

What is expected of you?

• Prepare and organize financial data such as cost forecasting and KPI budgeting of the engineering department
• Understand and analyze expenditure of engineering processes
• Gather, organize, and assess data to oversee the department's financial performance.
• Analyze the discrepancies between projected and actual costs to enable data-driven decision-making by managers
• Monitor, update, and review budgets, expenses, forecasts, and costs as necessary
• Conduct productivity analysis by comparing planned and actual expenditures to provide managers with timely insights for necessary decisions
• Ensure cost-effectiveness and establish standards across various operational areas within the engineering department
• Carry out other duties that might be assigned by the Cost & Administration Manager

What are you expected to bring?

• Minimum of two years in a similar role
• A degree related to Business Administration, Finance, or Engineering will be considered an asset
• Proficient in MS Applications, especially Excel and Word
• Must be able to work independently as well as within a team
• Strong financial reporting and administrative skills as well as proven planning, numerical and analytical abilities
• Fluent in written and spoken English
• Communication and interpersonal skills
