Compliance Manager

We are currently seeking a Compliance Manager for a unique financial institution with more than 28 years of experience in the sector. If you have a solid background in AML/compliance and have the aspiration of becoming an MLRO within just one year, this might be what you were looking for!

What’s expected of you?

• Oversee the Compliance team and its functions within the organization
• Nurture relationships and provide reports to relevant authorities
• Monitor and provide reports on compliance and AML-related processes.
• Support with the creation, management, monitoring, and upkeep of policies and procedures, while ensuring consistent handling of conflicts, risks, and related matters throughout the organization
• Participate in the development of best practices and the enhancement of compliance processes and systems at the group level
• Conduct due diligence and assessments for new clients
• Any other duties that may arise within the function

What are you expected to bring?

• A Degree in Financial Services or in a related field
• A minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar position in Malta
• A sound background in Compliance/AML at a senior level
• In-depth knowledge of the Maltese regulatory environment and relevant laws
• Be self-motivated, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work in a challenging environment
• Skilled in leading and motivating teams, and promoting the value of a compliance culture
