What is expected of you?

Build and nurture strong, ongoing relationships with clients
Identify client needs and address engagement challenges, ensuring clear communication and timely resolution
Collaborate with external parties including clients, banks, suppliers, auditors, and government authorities
Organize and maintain office records, business transactions, and related activities
Update and manage filing systems, inventories, mailing lists, and databases
Follow up with debtors through email and phone communication
Guide team members in preparing management accounts and financial statements
Prepare and submit VAT returns and recapitulative declarations
Present regular progress reports to senior management
Mentor and support team members to foster their professional growth
Identify training needs for both clients and staff, recommending appropriate courses
Monitor timesheet data to assess project profitability and efficiency
Provide detailed portfolio updates to relationship managers
Manage the performance of the Client Accounting team
Deliver progress updates and efficiency reports to top management

What are you expected to bring?

Exceptional communication skills with fluency in business English
Proven experience in leading a team of client accountants, with at least 2+ years in a managerial role
Expertise in setting, monitoring, and achieving KPIs for team performance
A Bachelor of Commerce (Accountancy) and/or ACA, ACCA, or CIMA qualification
In-depth knowledge of Malta’s tax compliance requirements, including VAT returns, VAT recaps, corporate tax filings, and tax refund claims
Advanced proficiency in Excel is essential
Strong attention to detail with a results-oriented approach
Ability to inspire, motivate, and develop team members
A proactive and flexible attitude towards overcoming challenges
