What is expected of you?

  • Lead the payments and cards operations team, setting targets, monitoring KPIs, and conducting performance reviews to ensure high-quality support and meet service level agreements
  • Develop, implement, and refine operational strategies and processes to improve efficiency and effectiveness
  • Oversee the payment processing lifecycle, including settlements, chargebacks, reconciliations, and daily payment reconciliations with banks and systems
  • Identify and implement improvements to streamline processes, increase efficiency, and enhance productivity
  • Manage relationships with banks, partners, and vendors to ensure smooth operations and strategic alignment
  • Resolve payment and card operational issues, ensuring timely handling of exceptions
  • Build and maintain stakeholder relationships to explore new operational strategies and solutions
  • Lead new projects to improve operational efficiency and effectiveness
  • Provide leadership, coaching, and training to foster team development and continuous improvement
  • Ensure compliance with legal, regulatory, and internal guidelines across all processes
  • Collaborate with internal teams to promote operational excellence across the organisation

 

What are you expected to bring?

  • Minimum of 10 years of leadership experience in operations, preferably within the financial services sector
  • Proven success in change management and scaling operations effectively
  • Strong knowledge of payment and card processing mechanisms, industry best practices, and digital payment trends
  • Proficient in reconciling transactions between payment systems, card systems, and bank statements
  • Deep understanding of international payment regulations and compliance standards, including SEPA and SWIFT
  • Skilled in developing and implementing new policies and procedures to adapt to business and regulatory changes
  • Exceptional analytical, leadership, and management skills with a track record of motivating and guiding teams
  • Capable of thriving in high-pressure environments while maintaining a proactive and positive attitude
  • Independent, resourceful, and able to work both autonomously and collaboratively within a team
  • Excellent communication skills, able to clearly articulate complex concepts in both written and verbal formats
