Assistant Manager Accounts

A dynamic and international supermarket chain is looking for a talented Assistant Manager Accounts to join their growing team. If you have a diploma in accountancy or are in the process to obtain an ACCA qualification or equivalent, this might be the perfect opportunity for you!


What is expected of you?

  • Provide comprehensive day-to-day support to the Senior Accountants, ensuring smooth execution of financial operations
  • Collaborate with the Senior Accountants to assist in the preparation of monthly management accounts
  • Contribute to the smooth functioning of payment processing and posting of invoices, meticulously verifying transactional accuracy, ensuring adherence to payment terms and schedules, and maintaining a well-organized system for documentation and record-keeping
  • Play an instrumental role in the meticulous completion of bank reconciliations, diligently comparing financial records and statements with banking transactions, promptly identifying, and resolving discrepancies, and ensuring accurate financial reporting
  • Assist in the administration and bookkeeping activities, meticulously maintaining financial records, organizing files and documents, monitoring financial data for accuracy and completeness, and supporting the Senior Accountants in generating insightful financial reports
  • Flexibly respond to other general duties as the need arises, proactively taking on diverse tasks and responsibilities that contribute to the overall efficiency and effectiveness of the accounting function


What are you expected to bring?

  • Attained a diploma in accountancy or currently in the process of obtaining ACCA or an equivalent qualification
  • Excellent command of English, both written and verbal
  • Demonstrate a strong working knowledge of Microsoft applications, particularly Excel
  • Ability to work independently, taking proactive initiatives and demonstrating self-motivation in accomplishing assigned tasks
  • Strong interpersonal skills coupled with the ability to create and maintain positive relationships within the team
  • Strong attention to detail
