Accountant

What is expected of you?

• Assist in the daily operations such as managing monthly accounts, reconciliations, and tax reporting
• Process all technical and non-technical information in the accounting system
• Liaise the other internal departments and external parties like banks and auditors
• Review insurance accounting entries, and analyze foreign currency exposure
• Prepare and submit regulatory returns to the authorities
• Follow up on clients’ operating requirements including affecting payments and ensuring sufficient funds are available for operating purposes
• Assist in the preparation of Tax and VAT return before submission
• Prepare management accounts and financial statements
• Other ad-hoc tasks that may be required from time to time by senior management

What are you expected to bring?

• Be a qualified Accountant through ACCA or equivalent
• A minimum of two years’ experience in a similar role
• Previous experience in insurance is a must
• Excellent English communication skills
• The ability to work efficiently in stressful situations and meet demanding deadlines
• Meticulous attention to detail
• Strong work ethic
